A visit to the USS Hornet

Here's a group of photos from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet shot in 1956. This ship was originally named the USS Kearsarge but renamed the Hornet in honor of the original Hornet aircraft carrier that was sunk during World War II. The Hornet is now a floating museum in Alameda.
